Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! I hope that you are doing well. This week, I have a little sneak peek for you. As always, I try to refrain from giving too much away, but hopefully enough to give you an idea why I enjoyed the book. This horror beauty is the 3rd in a series. The book is "You Should've Stayed Dead" by M.A. Savino. It comes out on July 30th.

First, the trigger warnings.

Trigger Warnings:

Explicit language

Murder

Death/grief

Graphic violence

Explosions

Child abuse

Human trafficking

Drug and weapon trafficking

You definitely need to have read books 1 and 2 before diving into this one. Otherwise, nothing will make sense. The first two books are absolutely fantastic if you are a horror fan and don't have any triggers.

Book three picks up right where book two ended and follows Ari's journey of vengeance. It's gory. It's haunting, and it's oddly satisfying. Ari changes and grows quite a bit with the help of others in her found family.

This one lacks the level of spice from the previous books but honestly, I didn't even miss it. Ari is different from Odi, and I enjoyed her being on her own path. She gives me Harley Quinn vibes sometimes. Not the Mr. J obsessed Harley but the wild, chaotic, let the world burn Harley.

The whole series is a wild ride into the darkest of places, and I loved every minute of it. Here is my official review.

A gory murderous masterpiece.

Ari and the rest of Odie's gang are back in the fantastic third book of the series. It was just as gory and brutal as I could have hoped that it would be. It's gripping, thrilling, appaling in the best possible way, filled with dark humor, and oddly satisfying. I stayed up to 2:30 am finishing it, because I just couldn't put it down. This series is a definite must read for those who embrace the darkness.

If you have read the first two and are ready to continue the ride, you can get "You Should've Stayed Dead" here: https://a.co/d/bUklGVA

It releases on 07/30/2025, but you can pre-order it now.

That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
