Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! Can you believe that it's the last week of April? It seems crazy to me. To wrap up the month, I have a Two for Tuesday for you! These are for the monster romance lovers. For those that wouldn't mind going bump with the things that go bump in the night. Please join me in checking out "Echo" and "Chuckles" by Kat Bethel.
We'll start with the trigger warnings for "Echo."

Are you still with me? It's a lot, I know. However, the book is very well done. It's one of those you just can't put down.
Madison is an interesting FMC. A tough curvy woman with an "I can fix him" complex and ties to magic that she doesn't believe in. Madison has been through it! Whew! Can we say past trauma to the max? By all rights she should be a hot mess. The fact that she learns to adapt to every situation is a testament to her strength. Even with the odds stacked against her, she doesn't know the meaning of the word quit. I adore her as a main character.
World building. Talk about an extremely small town! This place is practically a village, and it has that small town everyone knows everything and everyone vibe. I enjoyed the town and the people as well as the Rinah farm.
Let's talk about heat. I gave it three peppers. There is a sufficient amount of shut and enough detail to warrant a three alarm. It isn't over the top but it's raw, dark, dirty, and kinky. I loved it.
Here is my official review.
Dark, mysterious, and dangerous.
Talk about flirting with disaster! Madison has quite the track record with dangerous men. The twists, the turns, and the somehow sexy beast... it's a must read for those who enjoy the things that go bump in the night.

On to the 2nd book of the week, "Chuckles."
First, the trigger warnings.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶🌶
Trigger Warnings:
Clowns
Cooking/serving human flesh
Kidnapping
Mourning the loss of a child
Missing children
Dismemberment
Mishandling of remains
Gaslighting
Manipulation
Dissociative identity disorder
Mutilation
Dub-Con
Murder and Death
Blood and Gore
Once again, it's a lot. Again I'll say, it is so well done. I was walking down the hall reading, balancing my phone to read while eating, and reading in bed. I just could not put it down. I devoured it in a day.
Esme is my kind of FMC. She's a determined, well prepared witch who is hell bent on vengeance but still acknowledges her base needs and tries to still live life as best as she can. A mother chasing her lost daughter. Esme is a total bad ass.
The twists!! Oh my, the twists in this book. It will keep you guessing. I absolutely loved every single turn.
The MMC is a monster dressed as a clown that Esme nicknames Chuckles. If you aren't fond of clowns, then Chuckles is not for you. You have to be able to get past the scary and the crazy to see the sexy. The heat is a solid three peppers. It's dangerous, it's forbidden, and it's raw and dark.
Here is my official review.
Dark, depraved, insane, gory, gruesome, and raunchy in all the best ways.
Kat Bethel takes us deep into the insanity where it's hard to tell truth from reality and where pain is pleasure. "Chuckles" is everything I want and more. I absolutely could not out this book down. Well done!

That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
