Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! It's September! Can you believe it? For my fellow summer lovers, I'm sorry. For the fall fanatics, enjoy. Atleast Halloween is getting closer, right? For those of you already missing the heat, this week's book will heat you right up. I'm pleased to bring you "The Omega Lesson" by Roxy Collins. If you already know Roxy's work, you'll love this one. If you don't know her yet but like omegaverse, then you are in for a treat.
First, the trigger warnings:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶🌶🌶
Trigger Warnings:
Mild violence
Obsessive behavior
Child endangerment
Death
Alcohol use
Sex
MM
Explicit language
Though Roxy's books can include some darker themes they are always done well and help to further the story. The spice and excitement also tone down the darkness, as well. "The Omega Lesson" is the second in the "Billionaires in Heat" series but can be read as a stand alone. If read as a stand alone, it will make sense, but you'll miss out on knowing who some of the characters are that appear periodically.
This book takes a beautiful young beta teacher named Lexi, who is in her probationary period at a prestigious all male alpha academy as an English teacher, and adds in a hot, athletic 19 year old senior, who doesn't exactly fit in, to create a taboo love affair. Add in some other hot billionaire alphas and the spice goes through the roof.
This one deals with some past trauma not only with Lexi, but with some of the alphas, as well. It is tastefully done, and I enjoyed the growth throughout the book. As always, Roxy brings the heat, the omega heat, that is. Of course, that means some spice. I gave the book a 4 out of 5 spice rating, so it's quite hot. If you like smut, group scenes, and mm (male on male), you don't want to miss it.
I absolutely adore Roxy's writing style and find that I devour her books quickly and easily. They are my triple chocolate chip cookies of the book world. A decadent treat that I'm excited to get, and though I savor each bite, it is always done too quickly.
Here is my official review:
Hot for teacher!
Wow! A hot for teacher trope meets switches, omega heats, second chances, past trauma, and down and dirty pack dynamics. I absolutely adore everything about "The Omega Lesson." As usual Roxy Collins knocked it out of the proverbial park.
If you'd like to indulge, and trust me you do, you can get "The Omega Lesson" here:
That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
