Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! Can you believe that April is almost over already?! I'll only accept it because it's getting warmer. Haha. Today, I am so excited to bring you a spin-off young adult adventure book called "Primeval Ranch" by Derek Borne.

First, the trigger warnings.

Trigger Warnings:

Cartels

Guns

Animal smuggling

Mentions of death

Grief

Kidnapping

Medical emergency

PTSD

As it's a young adult novel, there isn't anything too terribly graphic, but maybe not suitable for super young ones. If you have read "Dino-Rift", and you should, you will absolutely love "Primeval Ranch."

Derek Borne is absolutely masterful at bringing wonderful characters and animal characters to life. This time, I thoroughly enjoyed Lucero aka Luz, Zoey aka Zo, and Earnie. All othe the other characters are well done as well, but these three are my favorites. Luz is such a deep character, and I love her emotional growth and strength. Zo is a wildcard and despite her emotional scars she's brave, sometimes reckless, and hilarious. Earnie is such a cut up. I could just imagine an 80 year old man with a fierce loyalty to his home and family and a fantastic sense of humor.

The world building brings us to Texas mostly this go around but we do get to peep at other locations. The dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals are absolutely perfect. I was excited to read about different species and their interactions with humans.

Here is my official review:

I am so delighted to be back in the dinosaur filled world that Derek Borne has created. "Primeval Ranch" introduces all new characters with a few familiar faces and is just as fantastic as I knew it would be. The popculture references are phenomenal as always, as is the banter between the characters. I love Lucero aka Luz, Zoey aka Zo, and Earnie the most. Each action packed page will keep you on the edge of your seat. As always, I'm excited for more.

Don't miss out an epic adventure. Be sure to get your copy of "Primeval Ranch" here: https://a.co/d/e2vIm93
