Good morning and happy Tuesday fellow readers!
This week I want to introduce you to your new book boyfriend. He's broody, hunky, dominant, and dangerous. Do I have your attention? If so, let's talk about Nikolai by Elle Sparrow.

This was a wonderful little jaunt into the BDSM world in the midst of a den full of doms. Elle does a wonderful job developing her characters. I adore Maddy, the FMC. She is strong and bratty. She could run a master class in brat. I love it. I love how she's perfect for Nikolai, the MMC. Their chemistry is absolutely fantastic.
Beyond the two main characters, you have a wonderful band of brothers. These guys forged their bonds in the military and I love their banter and their very different personalities. My favorite is Sully. There is a giant of a man wearing a floral apron with matching oven mitts while taking pride in feeding his family. He's just too cute! I need more Sully!
The underlying plot between the kink could have been a bit stronger for me. I love a thick plot. It is there though. There is a dangerous edge lurking in the background and some mystery as well which is great. I would just have loved for it to be a bigger part of the book.
Here is my official review:
I am new to Elle Sparrow so it was wonderful getting to read her work. She does a good job at character development. I love Maddy! She is such a brat. Nikolai aka Niko is a fantastic sexy dominant MMC. I love his band of brothers-in-arms as well especially Sully. It definitely packs the spice so check those trigger warnings. I would have liked more action scenes and plot besides just kink scene after scene. I love my bdsm, but I also like a good balance of underlying story. It seems to leave things open for another book so hopefully more action will follow. I look forward to reading more from Elle.
I do indeed look forward to more from Elle. I can't wait to see what else she has in store.

That is it for me this week, fellow readers. Please join me next week to start with a new event from my favorite hostess, Angelina Kerner. This time it's a book club. We will be reading one book per week starting this week. So join me in checking them out.
Until next time, curl up with a good book.
