Hello and happy Tuesday, fellow readers. Has your weather gone crazy too? Just a couple of days ago it was 75, then the next day it was in the 30s and snowing. Now we've bounced back into the 60s, and we were under a tornado watch. It's insane! It's a good thing that I have a steaming hot romance called "Longshot" by Ophelia Bell for you. Congratulations to Ophelia on Longshot's release today. Let's get warmed up, shall we?
Before we jump in, we'll do the trigger warnings.

It's quite the list, isn't it? This one is deep and goes into some uncomfortable territory so if you are sensitive to these subjects, it may not be the right book for you. If you don't mind the dark, the deep, and the uncomfortable, you'll be rewarded with all that spice.
"Longshot" is book 6 of the "Fall of the Amador Cartel" series. This isn't a stand alone so you'd need to read the first five books for book six to make sense. It's definitely a fantastic series so do read the other five if you haven't done so yet.
The characters are fantastic as always. Nina is successful, complex, and the best at what she does. Wyatt is sweet, strong, and in ways too accommodating. Meanwhile, Chris is beautifully broken and battling demons that Nina and Wyatt help him with. There's a lot of growth and change in this story and it adds a great depth that I enjoyed reading. I love that they all overcome the challenges and resist the urge to run away.
Here is my official review.
Complicated, messy, and sensual.
Longshot hit heavier than the rest of the series. There are a lot of therapy sessions involved and a lot of work being done by multiple characters. The web of characters keeps getting wider and weaving back in the best of ways. Nina, Wyatt, and Chris are all spectacular characters with extreme depth, and I adore their relationships. It's one of those books that can be tough to read but you can't stop. It's a great addition to the series.
If you are ready for the next installment in the series, you can grab Longshot through Ophelia's website here: https://www.authoropheliabell.com/products/longshot-ebook?srsltid=AfmBOork5tpVsGw0Z5NUWeYbnN1eTo8cF9dIaWYZd2Uz_zY29dgHJYuP or you can pick it up on Amazon.
That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
