Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! I hope that you are starting to thaw out a bit. We just received another dusting of snow yesterday to add to the mounds that are very slowly starting to melt. It's a good thing that Johnna Dee has a little bit of heat for us in "Immortality of the Gorgon," the final book in the Gorgo Series. A huge congratulations to Johnna on the new release! Please join me in checking it out.
Before we dive in, let's start with the trigger warnings.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶
Triggers:
• Childhood trauma
• Violence/fighting
• Death
• Sexual content
• Drug abuse
• Fostercare
There's nothing that is too terrible, right? I adore the Gorgo Series, and I was so excited to get Mari's story. I love her and Neo as a couple. Like the other two books, there is past trauma to reconcile, perilous situations to overcome, uncertainty, spice, and love.
I love all of the characters in the series and Johnna always does a wonderful job with character growth. This time, both Mari and Neo go through a lot of growth, and I love who they become. Ajax provides a little comic relief from time to time to ease the tension, which is perfect.
Of course, there is some spice. The first time spice is introduced in this book it is done differently, and I dont want to ruin it by telling you how, so just know it's different but in a fantastic way. The longing was intensified in my opinion, and it was beautiful.
Here is my official review.
"Immortality of the Gorgon" is the perfect ending to the Gorgo Series. I love Mari and Neo's story. There's trauma, action, suspense, love, growth, change, and some spice. An absolute must read that will keep you hooked from beginning to end.
