Happy Tuesday, fellow readers. The holiday season is upon us and as promised I have a couple of holiday reads for you. Since I know it can get harder to fit in reading time at this time of year, I have brought you two snack sized bites of holiday goodness that you can sneak in without a big time commitment.

Our first treat is Matched by Santa by Angelina Kerner. This is a sweet, holiday romance for those on the nice list.

First, the triggers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌶

Trigger Warnings:

Bullying

Physical affection with a fade to black

See, I told you it was for the nice listers. If you have browsed around my blog posts, you have no doubt noticed that I have read and reviewed a fair amount of Angelina's work. I am not the least bit ashamed to admit that I'm a fan. I love that she's a multi-genre author who always brings in a bit a whimsy and a dash of humor to her novellas. "Matched by Santa" is a perfect example of this writing style.

If you enjoy a college theater based setting at Christmas time with a friends to lovers trope, then you'll love this Twelve Days of Christmas inspired story. I enjoy the subtle hints of Santa without it being too overt. I also love that she mentions another of her books with this book. It's such a cute and inventive way of self promotion.

Here is my official review:

Matched by Santa is a super sweet 12 days of Christmas story. Angelina does a fantastic job as always with her character development. I love May aka Ace. The nicknames of Ace and Joker are so adorable. I enjoyed the story being set in and around theater life. I love the little hints of Santa Claus involvement. If you want a quick and sweet holiday read, this one is perfect.

Our second little treat is a little more naughty. It's a nostalgic workplace romance with a grumpy/sunshine trope called Mistletoe Rewind by Skye McDonald.

Of course we'll start with the triggers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Triggers:

Single mom

Taking care of an injured parent

Workplace romance

Sex

I adored this little nugget of whimsy and naughtiness. You have a quintessential sunshine good girl and a major grump. You have the taboo of a workplace romance. Then, there is the nostalgia of a video store in the mall. "Be kind, rewind". Some of you will remember that.

Skye does a brilliant job at character development and world building in such a short story. The writing flowed beautifully and it was flawless from a proofreading standpoint. A definite delight. Just enough to hook you in, get you hot and bothered, and yet still leave you satisfied.

Here is my official review:

A sexy bit of holiday nostalgia

I love that this story took me back to the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s when video stores were around and "Be kind, rewind" was a common phrase. It's a spicy bit of holiday workplace romance with a bit of a grumpy/sunshine trope. It's a quick and satisfying holiday treat.

It really is a delight. If you'd like to check it out, you can find "Mistletoe Rewind" here:

That is it for me for this week, dear readers. I hope that you enjoy the holiday recommendations. Until next time, curl up with a good book.
