Happy Tuesday fellow readers! I hope that all of my lovelies here in the US had a safe and happy Independence Day. I spent it reading, of course. It's my favorite thing and apparently my super power. Haha.

Today I'm bringing you a second in a series. It is a paranormal romance with a reverse harem. This is also known as " Why choose."

Today's book is Ever Dark by K.D. Smalls.

You know what we have to do first, so let's get to it.

Now, we can discuss it! Ever Dark is book two in the Solis Lake Academy Series. It picks up exactly where the cliffhanger of Ever Blue left us. K.D. gives us more drama and a ton more steam. Book one had plenty of spice, but book two is twice as nice! Sorry. I couldn't help myself! But seriously, it brings the heat.

The underlying problems the characters are facing are always present but allow just enough space for the spicy scenes as the characters try to take their minds off of the looming threat and spend time together.  I love that each of the three MMCs, male main characters, has their own nickname for Everly, the FMC, female main character. It is so sweet and cute.

This is a wonderful sequel to Ever Blue. Here is my official review:

Ever Dark starts right where Ever Blue leaves off. It is a darker book than Ever Blue, and I am 100% here for it! K.D. did a marvelous job balancing the darkness and the spice. I ran the gambit of emotions while reading this book, and I could not put it down. This cliffhanger was more merciful than the first, and I can not wait to read book three.

So, there you have it! I hope that you have enjoyed today's selection. If you want to get Ever Dark you can do so here:

Until next time, curl up with a good book.
