Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! It's the last day of September! That's crazy, right?
I do love October, though, and I hope that it lingers longer than September seemed to. Like September, this week's recommendation is quick and has a little spice. Please join me in checking out the paranormal romance novella that is "Cursed with the Dragon Prince" by Mel Braxton.
First, the trigger warnings.

🌶🌶
Trigger Warnings:
Infertility
Loss of a mom in childbirth
Mentions of past deaths
Poison
This one was a bit surprising, in a good way. I was expecting a spicy paranormal romance with dragons and found some deep aspects like self-acceptance, loss, and a clan cursed to wither away. I was not expecting the level of depth that Mel Braxton managed to pack into just 21 chapters.
I adore the journey and the growth of Reina, the female main character (FMC). She has undergone so many trials in her life only to wash up on a volcanic island with the biggest trials of her life. I love how realistic her emotions are and how brave she becomes. The author did a fabulous job in her development. She really came to life in these pages.
The book is decently fast paced and easy to get lost in. It's one that I didn't want to put down. Yes, some spice is present but it wasn't as much as I thought it would be. If you are looking for smut galore, this book isn't it. It has a couple of small scenes with decent detail but nothing over the top. The spice fit with what was going on in the book though, so I understand the decision not to include more of those scenes.
Here is my official review.
"Cursed with the Dragon Prince" is a fast paced paranormal romance novella. It has some deeper elements of self acceptance and inability to have children that I was not expecting, but I loved it. Reina has been through so much, and I adored her strength and her journey. It's a great quick read.

That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
