Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! Can you believe it's the end of July already?! The Summer is coming to an end when it feels like it hasn't even really started yet. Atleast there has been ample time to read. This week's selection is "Crest of the Forgotten" and it is the wonderful ending to a paranormal adventure romance series by Johnna Dee.
First, the trigger warnings.

I absolutely adore this one! You definitely need to have read the first two though as this is the third of the series.
Redd has been an interesting character throughout the series, and I was pleasantly surprised to get a Reddcentric book three. It was everything that I didn't know that I needed. Paranormal elements, magic, danger, past and current trauma, and romance. Absolutely perfect.
Johnna already had developed a dynamic cast of characters coming into book three but she added a fabulous new female character whom I fell in love with immediately. She's intelligent, resilient, strong, beautiful, and she loves books. I especially love that her backstory intertwines with Redd’s and makes her feel like she's always been in this world and we as readers are just now getting to meet her.
Here is my official review.
Is it possible to love the final book more than the first?
I absolutely adore "Crest of the Forgotten." I was not expecting a Redd centered story but it was everything that I didn't know that I needed. I love that we get more of Redd’s backstory and even get a new female main character. She's new to us but not new to the world or to Redd which is even better. I got lost in the story, and I couldn't be happier with how it all wrapped up. It is a true triumph for Johnna Dee.
This beauty is a true page turner and it is out today!! Happy book release day, Johnna! You can grab "Crest of the Forgotten" free on KU or get it for just $0.99 on Kindle. You can get it here: https://a.co/d/ivoJz2C
That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
