Happy first Tuesday of September, fellow readers! Can you believe that we are in the "ber" months?! That means we are winding down 2024. That's crazy!

Anyway, I have another book club pick for you. This week's book is a paranormal romance called Claiming Magick by Madison Granger.

First, let's get those pesky triggers out of the way.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌶🌶

Trigger Warnings:

Shifters

Witches

Kidnapping

Fighting

Curses

Death

On page sex

There are not a whole lot of triggers for this one. It does deal with a generational curse and death, and though it brings the suspense, Madison is able to balance it beautifully with a blossoming love story.

I absolutely adored this one! It is a quick and smooth read. I proofread because my brain is hard wired to notice errors in spelling and grammar. So, it is an extra delight to me when I find a flawless or near flawless gem of a book. I am pleased to say that I found just that in Claiming Magick. Bravo, Madison! Well done!

Claiming Magick has fantastic characters and world building. I love Rowan. Who wouldn't want to be a witch running their own magical shop in a pretty quiet little town? I know that I would! She is capable, intelligent, well known, beautiful, and snarky at times. I adore her. She has fantastic secondary characters surrounding her as well with her Fae bestie, her magical mentor, and her two apprentice witch employees.

The MMC, male main character, Griffin, is a fantastic sexy Alpha wolf shifter. He is a great leader, open minded, kind, sexy, and sweet. I love him as the opposite to Rowan. I love how she hated shifters that lended to an enemies to lovers theme.

Here is my official review:

Claiming Magick is a wonderful paranormal romance. It gives off an enemies to lovers vibe that I absolutely adore. The characters are well written, and I love the hint of mystery. The chemistry between the main characters is fantastic and the spice is well done. It is definitely a satisfying quick read.

Well readers, that is it for me for this week. Thank you so much for joining me. Please be sure to come back next week to see what the book club recommends next. Until next time, curl up with a good book.
