Hello fellow readers. Can we pretend it's still Tuesday? Haha. I know. I'm a day behind. Hopefully you forgive me. Yesterday was just not a writing kind of day. I was getting over a stomach virus, dealing with a MCAS flare up, and of course there had to be a thunderstorm to top it all off.
I am here now though, and I have a contemporary romance for you. Gasp! I know, right?! I don't do a lot of contemporary romance as it can get boring, but this one definitely won't make you yawn. It brings a little darkness and features a billionaire.
Without further ado, I bring you A Stone's Throw by Stevie Sparks.

As you can see, there are plenty of things to keep this story from being average or boring. This was my first book by Stevie even though it is the 2nd in the series. It can be a stand alone though as I read it without any issues or confusion. The characters are so well done and have full backstories. I love this world that Stevie has created in the UK for her characters. Her details had me feeling like I was right there with Talia taking a walk through the park and enjoying a beautiful summer afternoon in London.
Here is my official review:
A Stone's Throw was my first introduction to Stevie Sparks. Well, hello Stevie! What an introduction! I love Jensen and Talia's story. It is so interesting. There were so many emotions and twists. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could not put it down. The characters are so well written. I am so happy that I read it and I can't wait to read more.
I went through the emotions with this one. I was nervous, lusty, betrayed, proud, hopeful, scared, sad, and happy. It was quite the ride. I am not usually big on age gap. I don't mind it, but I don't seek it out. Stevie did a beautiful job with it though. It was a component but it didn't seem to be focused on too much so it wasn't a big deal to the characters. I love the family aspect. It was very sweet. Both with Jensen's doting over his cousins and his love for Talia and their son, Felix.
It was a fantastic read and I look forward to more from Stevie Sparks. If you want to check it out you can do so here:
