Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! Thank you for joining me. This week I have a recommendation that is perfect for the season. It can be a busy time so you might be looking for a quicker read. This paranormal murder romance novella called "A Halloween Hookup" by Jennie Marts is the perfect fix.
First, the trigger warnings.

Trigger warnings.

Sexual situations
Death
Another bit of a warning for my smut lovers, this one is a big tease. It has plenty of teasing and sexual tension so thick it's palpable though which makes it so fun to read.
The characters are wonderful! Jennie Marts has done a fantastic job with not only the two main characters but with the other characters as well. I especially got a giggle out of Edna, the "eighty something" neighbor with a penchant for amateur sleuthing. Finn and Zia are fabulous main characters with one being a private eye who is a slave to routine and the other a psychic and self proclaimed witch with a penchant for wearing robes. They truly are an unlikely pair, but the attraction is magnetic.
Pair the wonderful characters with a break in turned murder mystery and you have a real page turner. Which, not coincidentally, is the title of the series this novella is in. It is book 3.6, as it is one of the stand alone novellas. All of these elements make it perfect to scratch your Halloween romance and/or murder mystery itch.
Here is my official review.
You can cut the sexual tension with a knife!
"A Halloween Hookup" is book 6 in the Page Turners series. This face paced paranormal murder mystery romance truly belongs in that series, as it is indeed a page turner. A "boring", jaded ex-cop turned private eye and a sexy psychic with her own tragic past make fantastic duo. The tension is high but the spice is left mostly to the imagination. Overall, it is a fabulous Halloween novella.

That does it for me for this week, dear readers. Please join me again next week for another wonderful recommendation. Until then, curl up with a good book.
