Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! I hope that you all are doing well. This week, we are revisiting an author who was just featured with two books. It is lucky for us that Kat Bethel just released another unconventional paranormal romance in that same series called "Rot." While there are mentions or cameos of characters from the other books, these books are meant to be able to be read as stand alones. Let's get to it!

It's quite the list, isn't it? This one isn't for the faint of heart. It has a predestined enemies to lovers but more of a giving in to your biology than falling in love vibe. It's as brutal as you might think. There is a lot to unpack in this book with past repressed memories resurfacing. It is unapologetically dark, and I love it.

Talia, the FMC, has such a dark back story, and she's the epitome of a survivor. She's been surviving her whole life, and she never lets anything keep her down. I adore that about her and that she's even getting her doctorate. She didn't just survive; she thrived.

On a similar hand, the monster, the MMC called Rot, is a survivor with a dark past, too. You wouldn't normally think of a man eating beast with a tenuous grasp on humanity as being a victim. Yet, he was.

I can't say enough good things about "Rot." If you can handle the triggers then you should definitely read it. Here is my official review.

A true enemies to lovers.

Wow. Talk about a hate hookup. Being bound to someone you hate due to pasts that traumatized you both. It's dark. It's messy. It's feral. It's definitely not a traditional love story, and I adore that.
